iPod Video Glasses Blinding Consumers
When I was a kid my mother used to say, “Don’t sit too close to the television set, it’ll make you blind”. I never went blind but I have to admit I do have pretty poor eyesight. To be perfectly honest there is no real proof that television will drive you blind and most likely the stories I was being told were old wives tales. Never-the-less, when I saw a pair of iPod video glasses online it sparked old memories.
First let me say that there is no evidence that these glasses have ever caused anyone to go blind and are in my opinion perfectly safe. Second, outside of Japan they are only available in a couple of online stores in the U.S, one of them being the online affiliate store

Mikimoto-Beans of Japan recently introduced the i-Theater video glasses for iPod video or other devices with AV outputs; and more recently introduced the all new iTheaterV. Both are high quality and stylish looking. Wearing them makes you look like you stepped out of a Sci-Fi movie.
Here is the coolest thing.
Wearing the iTheaterV gives you the experience of watching a 65" high resolution TV from just 2.5 meters away (previous model is equivalent to a 50" TV). I have to say, it is way cooler than sitting close to the television set.
iTheaterV also has 2 built-in earphones, so when the user is watching a movie through the glasses the sound is produced to stereo. The biggest difference between the two models, besides the $80 gap in price, is battery life. The iTheater gives you 10 hours of playback, enough for 5 two hour movies. The iTheaterV, though giving you a greater visual experience, is limited to 5 hours of playback time using batteries.
